Épices de Cru's chipotle chili flakes are a bit of a misnomer. This tin is packed with small nuggets of smoky, fruity, mild-to-medium peppers (they start life as jalapeños), and they'll add real flavour and a bit of heat to whatever you put them in.
Use them in dry rubs for meat, stirred into a pot of beans, worked into a braise, or added to a marinade. A spoonful goes into our smoky black beans, along with Épices de Cru's whole cumin, and both come through clearly in the finished pot. Run them through a spice grinder and the depth of scent that comes off them is genuinely surprising.
