About Flavourfull
I'm Eshun Mott, a food stylist and recipe developer. Much of my work happens behind the scenes, for brands, ads and packaging. I've also been a food editor and stylist for Chatelaine, House & Home, Today's Parent and LCBO Food & Drink, and worked for The Globe and Mail and the Toronto Star. Knowing which ingredients are worth buying has always been part of my job.
Finding them in stores was another matter. Bon Appétit and NYT Cooking call for brands by name, and Ottolenghi and other cookbook authors call for ingredients you can only find in specialty stores. And then there was salt. Diamond Crystal kosher salt is the one I've used since I worked in restaurant kitchens, and the one most food publications recommend. It was also consistently hard to find. There were plenty of others that frustrated me, too many to list.
I started Flavourfull to put them all in one place. The shelves hold spices, olive oils, vinegars, sauces and baking ingredients, plus sweets, snacks, spreads and a few tools and extras. Ingredients I cook with, and a few I just love. That's the fun of having your own shop. I ship from Toronto to anywhere in Canada.
Flavourfull has been featured in Chatelaine, LCBO Food & Drink, Harrowsmith, The Toronto Star and ELLE Gourmet.
Food is how we connect with the people we love and mark the moments worth celebrating, and bringing it to life here has taken a lot of talented people. I'd especially like to thank photographers Maya Visnyei, Ryan Hegarty, Dan Robb and Jodi Pudge, prop stylists Catherine Doherty, Lindsey Clark Rayna Marlee and Genevieve Wiseman, and graphic designer Dominique Patafio. Their work shapes the images you see on this site.
