Meet Steaped Slow Ceramics | Handmade Pottery from Ontario

Nov 16, 2025Eshun Mott

I’m so pleased to introduce you to Sara, the artist behind Steaped Slow Ceramics—a small-batch Canadian pottery studio crafting heirloom-quality pieces designed to make everyday rituals feel more grounded and beautiful.

Steaped Slow was born out of Sara’s own desire to slow down. After years of digital burnout, she returned to working with her hands and discovered a deeper connection to the rhythm of daily life. That intention is carried through every piece she makes—timeless forms, minimalist design, and thoughtful details meant to help people savour the small, quiet moments.

Each mug, bowl, and candle holder is handcrafted in Ontario using durable stoneware and a slow, considered process. Sara’s aesthetic draws on Nordic simplicity, but her work is also deeply functional: pantry bowls that nest perfectly for prep and baking, large handled mugs and travel mugs with thin rims and spiral grips that feel good in your hands. They’re beautiful, yes—but they’re also made to be used every day.

At Flavourfull, we believe that the tools you cook with should feel as thoughtful as the ingredients you use. Sara’s pantry bowls pair naturally with ingredients in our Holiday Baking Collection, and her travel mugs are just right for enjoying a cup from our Diaspora Co. Chai Kit. Together, they make meaningful, ready-to-use gifts for anyone who loves time in the kitchen.

Sara is offering 15% off her pottery for the next 7 days with code FRIEND15.

One well-chosen piece can bring a little beauty to your everyday routine—something warm to hold, something handmade to use again and again. I’m so happy to share Sara’s work with you.
