New York Shuk Harissa with Preserved Lemon
Molly Baz says the Bon Appetit Test Kitchen is obsessed with the New York Shuk Harissa Paste, and especially the paste with preserved lemons, and we can see why. This is a truly premium harissa, with a concentrated, slightly smokey, sun-dried pepper flavour brightened with the acidity of preserved lemons and a looser consistency than other pastes which makes it easy to spread on meat or fish. It's medium-spicy which means you can use a fair bit of it and get the flavour you're looking for without too much heat. A very worthwhile splurge. Handmade in Brooklyn. 282g jar.
