Lost Meadows

Lost Meadows Honey

Raw, unfiltered honey, cold extracted and bottled to preserve the flavour of the location and month it was harvested.

While most honey gets blended so every jar tastes the same, Lost Meadows keeps each harvest separate, batch by batch, meadow by meadow. Tasting the difference between bottles is half the fun, almost like tasting different vintages of wine. Few, if any, other apiaries work quite this way. New batches will be brought in depending on seasonal availability. Check tasting notes below.

Use this honey in places where you'll really taste it: off a spoon, in herbal tea, drizzled over yogurt, ricotta or feta, or on buttered toast.

From a small apiary in Egbert, Ontario, harvested through the summer months. Raw, unfiltered, with all its flavours intact.

500g jar.

July Meadow #12
Buttery and smooth, with notes of mint and citrus running underneath. The honey here comes from meadow rue and basswood blooms just outside Port Carling in Muskoka Lakes Township, bordering 800 acres of wild forest.

July Meadow #7
Rich and candy-like. If you have a platonic ideal of classic honey flavour in your head, this may be it. From Oro-Medonte, this honey is usually buckwheat, but this year it was a wider blend of flowers including basswood, sweet clover and milkweed.
