Royal Cinnamon is a heirloom variety (species Cinnamomum loureiroi) from the mountains around the ancient Vietnamese capital city of Huế and is not widely harvested or exported. Intensely sweet and spicy, it will elevate everything from your morning oatmeal to your favourite baked goods and is also amazing in savoury tomato-based or meat dishes - be mindful of it's intensity and start with less cinnamon than you usually use in your recipes.
